SEPL has acquired 400 acres of Land in village Taraimal at Raigarh (C.G.) to meet the requirement of expansion program. The plant is 600 m from State Highway and 18 km from Raigarh Railway Station. A Private Railway Siding is also under construction at Kotarlia Railway Station which is just 30 km from the plant and situated at Bilaspur-Jharsuguda route of South Eastern Central Railway.
To explore, prospect & exploit required quantity of coal, SEPL has allotted captive coal block at Madanpur Block from the Ministry of Coal. SEPL has already granted Linkage of 360000 TPA and application for additional linkage of 96000 TPA is under consideration of the government.
